      Data and literature search

ADS - The SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System: The goto search engine for astrophysics literature.

Astrophysics data system, aka. "Bumblebee" is a beta version of a new version of the ADS, which allows you, among other things, to make full text searches. Worth a visit!  

ArXiv is an open e-print service where many publications can be found before their official publication in a scientific journal. 

ArXiver is a site which brings you the daily updates from arXiv, but with the addition of a figure from the individual papers.

Vox Charta is another platform to view the daily arXiv updates, but with the feature of a institution voting system - great for journal clubs.

MathSciNet is the place to go if you are looing for the proper citation to a paper in the field of mathematics or statistics that you cannot find on ADS.

ResearchGate is a place where you can follow the works of scientist and get postings whenter new research is out, view author statistics, ask questions, request papers, etc.

SIMBAD is an astronomical data base and typically the first place to go for a quick overview of what is know for a given astronomic object.

VizieR provides access to the most complete library of published astronomical catalogues and data tables available on line organized in a self-documented database

MAST - The Mikulski Archive for Space Telescopes is a NASA funded project to support and provide to the astronomical community a variety of astronomical data archives.

The Seismic+ Portal is an astero- and helioseismic Portal to promote the awareness and the use of existing seismic data within the stellar physics community and beyond.

COMS - Calendar of upcoming scientific conferences is a very useful site for keeping track of upcoming conferences.

Scikit-learn is a essential site for those of us who program in Python and use methods from Machine Learning for scientific analysis.

SAC - Stellar Astrophysics Centre @ Aarhus University, Denmark conducts research on the Sun, stars and extra-solar planets.

HiROS - High-Resolution Optical Spectroscopy is the Solar and Stellar Physics Group @ Birmingham University. 

SONG - Stellar Observations Network Group is a Danish-led project dedicated to the design and construction of a global network of small telescopes for the study of stars and planetary systems around stars.
